A EASTER MESSAGE FROM JOAN:
Hello Families of Faith:
HE is risen from the dead! Life wins! The story has been written, we know the ending, and LOVE persists, darkness can't overcome it! The song, "Rescue" by Lauren Daigle is what I have chosen for this months prayer. You might wonder why? It doesn't sound very Easter-y?
I choose it because it is the very essence of Easter, God has rescued us! God's plan includes a little bit of crazy...God believes that each and every human being is redeemable! Did you hear that, you and I, each one of us is redeemable! Those places in us that are hidden, that we desire to keep in the dark, out of the sight of others and God...those very places are redeemable! This is the GOOD NEWS of Easter, we are free, RESCUED, if you will!
Lent is over, give those places to Jesus, let the LIGHT of CHRIST come in, get redeemed!
I want to invite all of us to keep our heads up, press on in the midst of this Covid-19 experience. We are beginning to see the light at the end of this darkness, but we must continue to dance this dance to the end of this pandemic! We actually are essential tools in God's hands, tools that will rescue the world from this disease. "Out of love and care for the most vulnerable," was the phrase we began to hear a year ago, and it still is true today! Let's do our part, continue to wear masks, use social distancing, vaccinating, and washing hands until we complete this race!
May God fill your Easter season with faith, hope, love, peace, patience, faithfulness, goodness, kindness, gentleness, and self-control.
Blessings in our Risen Lord Jesus,
Joan
